Catherine Dean

 

Catherine L. Dean is a holistic wellness consultant and specializes in helping clients achieve optimal wellness. Through education, relaxation, meditation and yoga, she teaches clients who suffer from anxiety and stress how to relax and attain restorative sleep.

 

She holds a B.Sc Hons in Environmental Health and is certified in multiple yoga modalities, including Restorative, Hatha and Yin Styles.  Her teacher training was completed at Prana Yoga College in Vancouver under Shakti Mhi who had a strong focus on safety, proper alignment, breath control and the intuitive flow of the asanas. Catherine continues to study and receive council from Shakti on a regular basis. 

 

Catherine is from Ireland, now living in San Diego and she has over 8 years of instructional experience. She leads corporate wellness seminars and workshops, which enlighten and provide practical advice to clients in addition to the private lessons and group sessions that she conducts. Her hands-on approach allows clients to achieve maximum benefits. 

 

Commited to helping students develop a practce suited to individual needs, Catherine specializes in restoring health and balance by focusing on safety and alignment.  She encourages students to develop graceful, fluid movement and centered breath awareness and helps indiviuals move effortlessly beyond physical and mental limitations. Students can expect assistance with deep tissue release, assisted stretching, guided breath extension, (pranayama), relaxation and meditation.
